10 Funny Workout Fails

Here’s 10 workout fails that really made me laugh.

I want to devote more time on getting the new Total Anabolism done and dusted for you guys so I thought I would publish a quick and easy article like this one.

It’s coming in the next week or 2 guys, please be patient. There’s only 1 of me!

Anyway, check out these fails in the meantime…

How NOT to do your sit-ups! One YouTube comment says, “Can I find this beat on iTunes?”

This one hurts. Check out his left hand grip. I could see this coming a mile off!

“Cool” Guy

Can’t help but feel embarrassed for this guy…

Time to buy a slant board?

“Cool Guy” 2

There’s 2 fails in this one!

Insane laugh puts guy off. This actually happened me once. Laughing and lifting DON’T go together…

Not so funny. Just bloody painful! Get well soon kid

Wow this is quite surprising. That Crazy laugh video you posted up is mine. It’s an honor having you post it here. Thanks man!

  • Travis April 8, 2010, 9:41 pm

Hahaha oh man. That one with the kid laughing was hilarious. I’m surprised you didn’t have the video of that one power lifter who drops like 500 lbs or something on his chest while doing a bench press.

  • Mark McManus April 8, 2010, 10:01 pm

@Jason. Cool. Is it your laugh?
@Travis. Yeah I’ve seen that one. Thing is, I hate watching those types of vids, I can almost feel the pain. Same goes for failed back-flips and such where someone lands on their neck – can’t watch them anymore.

When I first started lifting i had a “cool guy 2” moment hahahah.
But the momma video was hilarious because I used to lift in the garage and I tilted the bar and it almost crashed through my parents car window!
And the video where the as we black people say is “frontin'” and then gets suck and the person recording just laughs at him is HILARIOUS!!!!
I really enjoy all your articles man! good stuff.

It never ceases to amaze me at the crazy stunts people pull in the gym. I’ve seen some nutty ones but these videos were new to me. And I’ve seen a lot of Epic Fail workouts.

Mark – Dude, you made my day with 2 things. 1 this video list! 2 – being an inspiration. At least i’m hitting the gym regularly even when I was emotionally drained today. Thx for Okaying the short cycle. Will keep you posted.

    Omg so funny xD

  • Rich April 9, 2010, 3:30 pm

its always fun to watch people in the gym lift things improperly.

I’ve seen one old fellow probably in his 50-60’s doing butterflies like he was trying to create a hurricane from it.

  • therealshard April 11, 2010, 6:10 pm

Hahah this was a welcome change, rock on Mark!
@Sam I know what that’s like, you got dedication man. respect

  • Zipper April 11, 2010, 6:49 pm

One thing I’ll never understand either, these big dudes that come in to my gym once in a while, not too bad built on top with a big gut and lift 100 miles an hour!
I just want to walk up to them and say “now what did that do for you except wind you?” LOL I’m at a loss. Or the guys that do huge weighted shrugs rounding out the shoulders and bending (lifting) with their arms. *shakes head*

That poor kid that got nailed in the back of the head with the cable machine! Man I would have sued or got a free membership for life for them not bolting down that thing properly! Wow! Great posts Mark! 😉
