    I have to say thank you! I started doing your 5 day THT split a few months back and it’s been the perfect workout. I bought and tried countless others (Stronglifts 5×5 caused major injuries and sent me to the orthopaedist.) And now after buying lots of ‘diet’ plans (Xtreme fat lost, Burn the Fat, 3-week diet, and others) I finally decided to give TSPA a try. At first I thought, “Huh, another PDF that’s going to say the same thing, doesn’t last, and isn’t sustainable.”. But with your guarantee I went for it. WOW, I’m glad I did. I’m an analytical kind of guy so this really resonates with me. AND, I’m not hungry – the proportions of nutrients hits the sweet spot for my body. So it’s been two weeks now and although the scale is just starting to move, I look and feel better and my clothes fit better. Jeesh… I sound like a commercial…. But I finally found sustainable system. Thanks! I look forward to my six pack in 8 weeks :)

    I am a believer in your THT Program, no question. My only regret is not taking a photo prior to me starting the program because there is a huge difference in my body. Upper body is coming very nicely, calves are forming but my hamstrings and quads are a little slow in shaping. I am not giving up, pressing forward with even more determination.

    Hi, Mark, Just a question though on the HIT cycle. How do I progress with the weights? Do I need to add more weights if I meet the required reps the following work-out day?

    @Ric. Any time you hit the top of your rep range on any set, you know you have to lift a bit heavier on that set next time.
    So let’s say you’re working on the 8-12 rep range and get 12 reps on your set of preacher curls, next workout lift a little heavier. (5% – 10% heavier is good).

    Hi Mark I use THT for the base of my workout. I have changed it some to fit my life style.It has worked well for me i started at age 49 170 LB. After 14 months and now age 50 i am 210 LB. I feel better then i ever have in my life. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Mark. Hope it doesn’t sound like a silly question…but…you know when you do a work out and the next day you suffer from muscle soreness, is the amount of pain proportional to the amount of growth you’ve stimulated. So, suppose the next day you don’t hurt at all, does that mean you wont grow much. Or, if the next you’re in complete agony, does that mean you’ve stimulated lots growth.

    @sunshyme. You’ll get varying opinions on soreness from everyone, because of the fact that no-one knows for sure. I think it can be a marker for growth, but it’s only one and shouldn’t be depended upon for a definitive answer as to whether growth has been stimulated or not. What you need to focus on is training to failure each set and making sure that there is progressive overload each workout (more weight and/or reps). That’s the way to know for sure, not muscle soreness.

    Hey, Mark. What’s your take on pull-ups/chin-ups? Do you recommend it to be included in THT? If so, what exercise from the recent THT Volume and HIT program should be replaced?

    Since it is a compound movement and we only switch a compound movement for another compound movement, or an isolation exercise for another isolation exercise in THT, you can switch this for close-grip palms-up pull-downs. If you aren’t doing this exercise, simply add a couple sets of of chin-ups into your bicep routine.
