Build Muscle & Lose Fat With This Stew!

by Mark McManus on February 25, 2009

I came up with the easiest Beef Stew recipe in the world!

It’s high in protein to feed those hungry muscles and the fat will keep your testosterone levels up. Also, it’s low in carbs so there’s no concern about fat gain.

In fact, if you’re like many of my readers, you can fuel muscle growth and fat loss simultaneously with this stew.

It’s so simple, you’ll kick yourself for not thinking of it sooner (I know I did).

Ingredients:

  1. Mince Beef
  2. Soup Vegetables – you can get these already prepared and bagged from a supermarket
  3. Water
  4. Stock Cube (optional)

Directions

  1. Throw the beef into a pot and add hot water.
  2. Bring to the boil and add vegetables.
  3. Crumble half a stock cube in

Cool and enjoy!

You could even grab ANY leftover meats and veggies and make a quick stew.

This is handy for as quick snack but particularly useful for those with a busy lifestyle as it can be taken with you and heated up anywhere.

Note: Find a bag of soup vegetables that contains mostly greens to keep the carb content down. Some carrots are fine though.

Easy Peasy!

Mark

Hey !
I’m a guy (1m70, 63 kg) that is slowly gaining lean mass by eating MANS with carb loading only when I eat out with my girlfriend & friends (very often here in the European Union, between Greece – Luxembourg and Belgium). And I’ll keep on doing that.
But please comment on this last Harvard medical research that seems to be extremely severe on high protein high fat diet results… http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/full/360/9/859

Thank you for your enligntening blog

This might help – Tesco do frozen bags of beef chunks so you get chunks rather than minced beef. I think it’s around the same price.

That was a nice introduction for me to the world of stew lol. I should finally learn to cook something other than eggs and steak heheh

This stew looks great! Like Yavor, I’m dying for some variety in my diet, and this looks like it might do the trick.
