There's actually a strategy for cutting dietary fat in the book, although it never becomes a low-fat diet. No you won't lose your muscle this way :)
Protein is kept consistently high throughout the program.

One thing: while cutting, do you limit your fat intake? As far as i'm concerned I don't wish to lose muscle whil cutting. So i have to keep my protein intake up, correctly? Or will a decrease in fat/day break-down my precious muscle?
