I sent you an email a few weeks ago with some questions I had about the MANS diet… Well, today I’m here to show you the results!
Well, actually I was already working out for about a month before I started a diet, and I’m on the MANS diet for about a month too, so it’s 60 days working out, and of the 60 days, the last 30 I was on MANS.
After these two months I’ve made gains in the chest, biceps, triceps and every where I wanted to build and LOST everywhere I wanted to lose.
The adipometer (body fat calipers) showed a decrease in about 2.88% of fat!
I’ve gained two kg (about 4,40 pounds) in muscle and lost the SAME amount in fat, so I didn’t lose weight, I just changed the unwanted fat for the wanted muscles…

UPDATE FROM GABRIEL IN BRAZIL…

I’m one happy MuscleHack reader, I’m on MANS for four months now and I have HUGE (well, I think so) results to share with you…
First, the physical evaluation I made in March 2nd this year:

* Chest: 39″
* Right arm (relaxed): 12,6″
* Abdomen: 33″
* Waist: 32.1″
* Hip: 41.3″
* Total fat percentage:
16.19%
* Total fat weight: 26.7 lb
* Total lean weight: 138 lb
* Total weight: 165 lb

I’ve sent you the results from the evaluation made in April 30 and the results were already good… But what happened in the evaluation I made July 11 was, in my opinion even better… and the results are here:

* Chest: 40.2″ (1.2 inch, ok, this one maybe should be better)
* Right arm (relaxed): 13.6″ (+1 inch)
* Abdomen: 31.9″ (-1.1″)
* Waist: 30.1 (-2 inches)
* Hip: 39.6″ (-1.7 inches)
* Total body fat percentage (using the same adipometer, with the same professional):
8.18% (Thats almost HALF I’ve had just a few months back!)
* Total
fat weight: 12.9 lb (-13.8 lb!!!)
* Total lean weight: 65.65kg / 144.43lbs (+6.43 lb!!!)
* Total weight: 71.500 kg / 157.3 lbs (-7.7 lbs)

I can tell that I lost exactly where I wanted to lose, and gained exactly where I wanted to gain… I’m VERY happy with this results, the difference in my body it’s very apparent. I can’t thank you long enough for showing me the MANS diet, it changed my life for sure…”

“Mark, the ‘before’ pics were taken a year ago but I only started training 5 months ago – the ‘after’ pics were taken last night.

I’m living proof of an ectomorph that threw away all the other garbage and just took what you had to offer and applied it.

5 months ago I started off at 69kg and in that 5 months my weight has increased by about 6-7kg; I’m now 76kg [7kg = 15.4 lbs].

I’ve never taken fat measurements as I’ve never had any, I’ve always just been skin and bone.

Maybe you can judge the fat situation by looking at the pics; as far as I’m concerned its all muscle size and maybe a bit of water from the creatine.

Mark! thank you! i used to be able to do one or two pull ups struggling… i started this workout maybe a month and a half ago and i just jumped on my bar a minute ago and on my first one i went up so easliy i hit my head on the ceiling and cranked out 15 no problem…. this workout works, hands down. “If you would’ve caught me back in high school, I’d be the guy in the gym that’s just playin around, i was never ever serious about working out. I’m 23 now, and joined the Air Force a couple of years ago and i decided it was time to start something and make myself look good and healthier. So I have been going strong on this plan for about 2.5-3 months strong. I’ve been following your plan for the past 4-5 weeks and I’m really pleased with the progress I’ve made. For the first time I’m starting to see real gains, particularly on my shoulders and biceps.

I was sceptical at first as I’ve used most of the above exercises at one time or another with no results but after reading your advice and the responses of other posters I decided to commit to this programme….your message of making every rep count has really hit home. I’m doing less sets and less reps (and getting out of the gym quicker!) but concentrating on my form and progressively overloading my muscles. Previously I’d rush to get sets done, sacrificing my form and using weights that didn’t challenge my muscles because I knew I had so many sets to do. Now I work really hard to make every rep matter…

hi Mark

i have been receiving your newsletter now for the past couple of months, and although i find it extremely informative, i just have to ask one question:
all the comments i read are from men, i want to know if this applies to women aswell. i have been working out with weights for just over a year now. i am slightly overweight, but find it difficult to stick to a diet. my goal is to achieve a sculptured body similar to Rachel Mclish’s.
