I need energetic music to work out to.
I recently asked members of the MuscleChat.co.uk forum what bands they like to listen to when hitting the iron. Here are the most popular artists (in no particular order)
- Guns N’ Roses
- Rammstein
- Metallica
- Foo Fighters
- The Sex Pistols
- Rage Against The Machine
- Sepultura
- Prodigy
- Iron Maiden
- Pantera
So who do you listen to for motivation?

get the rocky soundtrack.
Mark, this is a great list. My own top 10 for working out (in no particular order):
Pantera, Slayer, KMFDM, Marilyn Manson, Hatebreed, Static-X, White Zombie, Clutch, Rage Against The Machine, Black Label Society
Nice list Rob,
If Phil Anselmo can’t motivate you for a workout, no-one can.

Mark, one of the best heavy metal bands to listen to is Manowar. Their beat is very powerful, with their heavy metal ballads and war and mythology songs. It will motivate and lift you right up, so you can squeeze that extra hard rep. It should definitely be in the top 10!
Thanks Ben, I’ll check them out!
what about the blade rave soundtrack? check it out on youtube
