What Every Bodybuilder Should Eat For Dinner

by Mark McManus on March 4, 2008

Bodybuilder’s Dinner

What should constitute your daily main meal when seeking to aid muscle growth?

I get this question a lot by email so here’s the deal…..

Red meat and veggies is where it’s at!

For those of you taking the low-carb muscle route as in ‘MANS’, your main meal should look like this every day….

Meat

* Beef

* Pork

* Lamb

Vegetables

* Broccoli

* Cauliflower

* Cabbage

* Celery Root (Celeriac)

* Celery

* Mushrooms

* Peppers

* Onion

* Cucumber

Why Red Meat?

As well as providing an abundance of protein to aid muscle growth, red meat also increases serum levels of testosterone. It’s also a great source of:

* Vitamins A, E and B

* Iron

* L-carnitine

* Taurine

* Conjugated Linoleic Acid

* Coenzyme Q10

* Potassium

* Zinc

* Magnesium

I usually have steak or pork with a broccoli and cauliflower mix; a proper muscle-building dinner!

You might want to melt some cheese sauce on top of the veggies for added flavor. Also, why not try a little raw onion on top of your steak, mmmmmmm.

Man, all this talk about food is making me hungry. Think I’ll go whip up a home-made protein bar!

Oh lawd! Do I feel like a tard. I’ve been eating primarily fish, chicken and turkey!! I guess beef and pork is cheaper, anyway, so that’s what I’ll have to do.

Been eating lots of broccoli, though! Mmmm…broccoli.

I’m a broccoli fanatic!

But what type of red meat do you suggest would be best?

Steak! mmm
Sirloin and round are the top 2 cuts in my opinion.
